Guide

Using your own data

Sample data is a fine place to start, but your tool gets real when it holds your rows. You can hand Nyvlo a spreadsheet or a CSV, and it builds the tool around your actual data instead of a stand-in. This page walks through how that works and where your data lands.

Drag it in or attach it

To load your own data, drag a spreadsheet or CSV file into the builder, or use the attach control and pick it from your computer. That is the whole step. You do not need to reformat the file first, rename your headers, or clean anything up before you send it.

Both spreadsheet files and plain CSV files work, so you can export straight from the tool you already use and drop that file in as is.

Nyvlo reads your exact columns

Nyvlo opens the file and reads the columns exactly as you named them. If your header row says Account, Owner, Renewal Date, and MRR, those are the columns your tool is built around. It does not force your data into a fixed shape or rename your fields to something generic. Your headers stay your headers.

It loads every row

Nyvlo loads the full file, not a preview and not the first handful of rows. If your file has 168 rows, your tool holds 168 rows. The point of uploading real data is to work with all of it, so nothing gets quietly trimmed on the way in.

Messy real files are handled

Real exports are rarely tidy, and that is fine. Nyvlo cleans the common mess as it reads your file, so you do not have to prepare it by hand first:

  • Dollar signs, commas, and other currency formatting are read as the numbers underneath, so a value like $1,200 counts as 1200 in totals and sorting.
  • Percentages are read as their numeric value, so a column of rates behaves like numbers rather than text.
  • Blank cells are kept as genuinely empty rather than turned into zeros or dropped, so gaps in your data stay honest.
  • Extra spacing and inconsistent formatting between rows are smoothed out so a column reads as one clean type.

The aim is that a file you exported from somewhere real just works, without a cleanup pass on your side.

It rebuilds the tool around your data

Once your file is in, Nyvlo rebuilds the tool around your columns and rows. Every screen is wired to read your data, so the lists, tables, records, totals, and summaries all reflect what you uploaded rather than the sample content that was there before. The tool becomes a tool for your data specifically.

Loading data into an existing tool rebuilds it

You do not have to upload your file at the very start. If you already have a tool you like, you can load a file into it and Nyvlo rebuilds that tool around your columns. It keeps the shape and intent of what you built and re-points the screens at your real data, so you get your working tool populated with your rows instead of the placeholders.

If your file has columns the tool did not have before, those come along too, so the rebuilt tool matches the data you actually gave it.

Where to see the full data

After the rebuild, your rows show up across the tool wherever data belongs, most directly in the list or table view where every record is laid out. Open that view to scroll the full set, sort and filter it, and confirm your rows came in the way you expected. From there the data is yours to edit, add to, publish, or export.
